Course Description
This unit describes the skills and knowledge required to perform cardiopulmonary resuscitation (CPR) in line with the Australian Resuscitation Council (ARC) guidelines. This unit applies to all persons who may be required to provide CPR, in a range of situations, including community and workplace settings.
Entry Requirements

Participants must be 18 years and above

Need to be able to pass an LLN test ( literacy & numeracy)

Need to be physically fit

All participants attending must have basic PPE equipment
Duration

The total duration is 1 day. Training and assessment are conducted.
Training Overview
​

Cardio Pulmonary Resuscitation CPR.

Provide Basic Emergency Life Support

Fainting and unconsciousness

Choking

Practical CPR and Assessment demonstrate
Vocational Outcome
​
After the completion of the course, the participant will gain the following skills and Knowledge:

Recognize and assess an emergency situation.

Assess the casualty and recognize the need for cardiopulmonary resuscitation (CPR)
-
Perform CPR in accordance with the ARC guidelines.

Report details of incident in line with appropriate workplace or site procedures.

Contribute to a review of the first aid response as required.
