Course Description
This course outlines the competencies and understanding needed to effectively operate, load, transport, and discharge materials using an articulated haul truck.
This unit is relevant to individuals engaged in operational capacities.
It is applicable to both front and rear dumping haul trucks.
Note:
An articulated dump truck utilizes an articulation joint for enhanced maneuverability. In contrast, a rigid dump truck employs a rack and pinion system, turning the entire chassis simultaneously with the movement of the front and rear wheels.
Entry Requirements

Participants must be 18 years and above

Need to be able to pass an LLN test ( literacy & numeracy)

Need to be physically fit

All participants attending must have basic PPE equipment

1 Day Training & assessment with experience

3 Days Training & assessment with Non-experience
Vocational Outcome

Plan and prepare for articulated haul operations

Operate articulated haul truck in line with established requirements

Load, haul and dump materials to complete work activity
